Spain's popular
Costa del Sol is still flying high.
Airport passenger figures for Malaga Airport, the region’s main terminal, have increased by 3.2% year-on-year to the end of October 2006, according to figures released by the Spanish airports authority (AENA).

|
In the first 10 months of 2006, more than 11.5 million people landed at or took off from Malaga airport, travelling on 110,448 flights, an increase of 3.7% on the same period to October last year.
Among New properties on the popular Costa del Sol is Lauro Golf Residential (pictured) at Alhaurin el Grande, which features large two bed homes, at least 115sqm, overlooking the golf course from under £175,000. They are built with unrivalled quality standards. The development is ideally placed, just 10 km to the coast and 12km to the airport. The figures show that foreign visitors outnumbered Spaniards using Malaga airport by three to one: 8.6 million non-nationals compared to 2.8 million nationals; an increase of 2.7% and 5.3%.
And the upward trend looks set to continue. In October 11,529 flights arrived at or departed from Malaga Airport, an increase of 1.1% on October 2005. Passenger numbers in the same month totalled 1.2 million, a rise of a little less than 1%. The majority of flights were to or from the UK, Ireland and Germany.
