Non residents can normally borrow 70% of the purchase price or valuation, (whichever is lower) However, there are some banks that will only use the valuation and not the purchase price. Sometimes this may allow a higher % to be borrowed.

The length of the mortgage can be form 15 – 30 years. The standard rate of interest is variable. Fixed rates are available, these are generally much higher. Loans are available for borrowers up to the age of 70.
