| In recent years the Spanish property market has been exceptionally buoyant, driven by the low interest rates, a strong Spanish economy, increasing demand from both Spaniards and foreigners and, to a certain extent, a lack of alternative investment opportunities, with the stock market underperforming.
Many experts now expect the property market to start cooling down, although few forecast anything close to a collapse. It will require a greater insight and more research in the future to secure good investments, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. Good quality property in Spain still represents excellent investment in the long term.
